When I hear the name Chelsea Clinton, I have to admit that I still picture her as the adolescent girl in The White House. But my!, how she has grown up. After graduating from Stanford and Oxford Universities, she went down the corporate route in Manhattan. And now she is currently stumping for her mother’s presidential bid.

To be sure, Chelsea has come a long way. But where’s she headed next once the votes have been cast? That’s the question I try to answer as I tune in for this month’s Celebrity Spotlight.

As I connect with Chelsea’s energy, the first impression I get is about her home. I sense that’s it’s changing. Her home is going to be changing considerably. The good news is that I sense it’s getting better. The energy there feels light and airy. I see her walking around a room that is decorated in a very pale blue.

This room is in a building in a former neighbourhood of hers. I see that she will be moving back to an area in which she used to live. There’s a sense of homecoming up in her future. And she will be living in what feels like much bigger accommodation than where she is right now.

I also keep seeing her with a baby in her arms. But no, it’s not hers. It’s a girl with whom she will identify because this baby will find herself growing up in something of a goldfish bowl much like Chelsea herself did.

Moving to work, I have to say that I sense she will be leaving her current employer. I feel that this will happen within the next 6 to 8 months. It doesn’t feel like a happy parting. In fact, I sense the organisation for which she works is likely going to cease to exist. There’s a real sense of betrayal here. While there’s not a good vibe around work, it’s not going to keep her down. Not at all.

The theme of newness that I sensed around her home life will also be present in her love life. I sense that there will be a new romantic interest appearing in her life. This new man will in many ways be a man of mystery. The press will be slow to link the new couple even though they will have been dating for a long time.

The real challenge coming up for her is going to be trying to reclaim her personal life and her privacy after the 2008 presidential election campaign draws to a conclusion. I sense that she’s going to find it harder to blend back into the woodwork and trying to re-invoke her so-called “no interview rule” will be nigh on impossible. In other words, that genie’s not going back into the bottle!

I predict that she is going to turn her hand to going into business for herself. There’s a real entrepreneurial spirit about her. This first effort, however, I feel will be a real struggle for her. I sense that it will knock her down, but not for the count.

As strange as it might sound, I keep seeing her on a boat. It’s my impression that this will be something more than a one-off holiday. I feel that she may actually be purchasing a boat within the next two years.

My one piece of advice to Chelsea, if she’s reading, is to stop spreading herself so thinly. She has too much going on – and will continue to have too many irons in the fire until well into 2009. Additionally, I sense that she’s having fun realising her power and ability to get people to do what she wants. I feel that she needs to watch this as it could come back to haunt her with accusations of playing games or playing both sides.

That said, however, she is entering a very prosperous time in her life. She’s making it on her own. And her energy feels very happy and content – if not a little too tired.

And ultimately, I see her spending more time in Europe with press reports using the phrase “in her official capacity” to describe her. What exciting times lie ahead for this former First Daughter!
