How many of you haven't booked a reading out of fear?
My article on the Ethical Psychic really struck a chord with many of you. And I would like to thank you all for your feedback and for sharing your own personal experiences with psychics – for better and for worse. What an eye-opener on what some of my colleagues consider passes for a professional psychic reading!
If you’ve ever had a telephone reading with me, then you’ll know that I divide the reading into two sections. The first is what I call the information push. This is where I connect to your energy and relate what I’m sensing. During this part of the reading, I ask my clients to refrain from giving me feedback and posing questions. It’s just too distracting for me, the reader. Additionally, it can reduce the impact of the reading as you might think that you somehow “fed” me the information.
The second part of the reading is when I turn it over to you. This is when the questions are asked. But one question is coming up again and again before I even start the reading:
What if I see something bad for you?
Some people say that they don’t seek psychic guidance and consultation because they don’t believe in it. But more often than not, it’s my observation that it’s really a fear-based avoidance. In short, too many people are afraid that I might see what they don’t want me to see or that I might as they put it – see something bad.
My first response to this stems from my legal training. As a lawyer, I was taught to quibble with characterisations and conclusions. And so, I query the label “bad”. You see, what is “bad” for someone might not be bad for another. I suppose for many “bad” equates to something that has the potential to provoke anxiety as well as an emotional response.
My job as a psychic is to read in an objective and detached manner. So, I don’t see myself as being in the best position to determine what is either “good” or “bad” during a reading. It’s actually not that clear-cut – many times people’s lives are just too complicated for that pat designation.
To that end, I would advise anyone going for a reading to make sure that the psychic have either formal training in how to give guidance or have a background that would suggest that they know how to convey information compassionately and with tact and diplomacy.
Having said that, there are times when I and every other psychic out there detect a future event that probably isn’t what the client had hoped for. When this happens, I remind the client that the future isn’t carved in stone. After all, what psychics do can be likened to weather forecasting.
We look at past patterns that are operating in the present and may continue to exert influence in the future. In short, this means that if you change the situation in the present you alter its future. As such, you can consider this a psychic early warning – much like what was experienced by old Ebenezer Scrooge.
Another key point to remember is that if you weren’t meant to know, then no psychic could tell you. What I mean by this is that most of the times that I conveyed what might be considered as negative news, my client has sighed with relief saying that they knew it – deep inside – and simply needed confirmation.
The bottom line is that what’s conveyed in a psychic reading should empower you. It should arm you so that you can better exercise your power of choice and in so doing understand the consequences of your choice.
With my readings I aim not just to be accurate but to guide my clients so that they are in a stronger position of knowledge and power after the reading than they were before it.
If you’ve never had such a reading, then you owe it to yourself to book a reading with me. Check out my range of psychic services here. A reading with me could bring the answers, advice and insight that have been eluding you for far too long.
Over at IntuitiveBridges, I look at a very troubling statistic. It seems that too many of us believe that whether or not we will get cancer is down to fate. Do you share this belief? What else do you believe? What are these beliefs doing to your health? Read my article in full here and find out!
And finally, I'm pleased to announce that FREE Mini Readings are back. This is for a limited time only. So, click here to find out how to get yours while they last!
As always, feel free to email me with any comments, suggestions or feedback on PsychicBridges.
