This past week I read for a client who has been coming to me regularly for about five years. It’s always in the Spring when “Thomas” checks in to see what I sense is ahead of him as well as what’s now behind him. And boy, has he worked hard to put his past to bed.

When Thomas first came to me, he was in the midst of an early mid-life crisis. He was in love with a woman whose feelings for him could most accurately be summed up as indifference. Yet, I could see that this woman was going to lead him to travel great distances for her.

Even though “Suzanna” did little to nothing to reciprocate or even acknowledge his affection, Thomas left his hometown and his roots in Texas to relocate to New York City. But life in the city didn’t go according to plan. He found the way of life together with Suzanna’s apathy for him too much. Having given it what he considered to be his best shot, he called time on his love and the Big Apple after nearly three years.

For about the past eighteen months, Thomas has been trying to settle down in Atlanta. He’s got a good job and a nice home. But when I recently read for him, I could sense that he’s not settling down as well or as quickly as he had planned.

I told Thomas that I could feel that an old flame was reaching out to him and that he would once again be moving house to be closer to her. He seemed more curious than startled by my impressions and predictions and thanked me for yet another insightful reading. I thought that I had heard all that I would hear from him until next year. I was wrong.

Last night I checked my inbox before calling it a day to discover an email from Thomas in which he confided in me that he had really been shaken by the reading. He confessed that he had re-established contact with Suzanna about six months ago. But until the reading, he hadn’t actively been thinking about the idea of giving Manhattan life another go.

Thomas felt that my vision of him upping sticks to be closer to his former love was somehow proof that he had never moved on with his life and that he hadn’t really put her behind him. He was scared and frightened that he was going to go down that road again.

It’s true that I did see him relocating in the future. And as I had correctly predicted his past moves, Thomas concluded that I must be right again and that he might as well stop trying to make things work in his present location as it’s all but guaranteed to be temporary. WHOA! NOT SO FAST!

I’ve spoken with Thomas and explained how it works and allayed his fears. And he has been gracious enough to give me permission to share his story so that I can take this opportunity to reach out to a wider audience regarding the certainty of predictions.

When I connect to someone’s energy, I see where they’ve been and where they are. I can then trace the steps that led them to where they are so I can sense where their next step will take them. These days most people are too busy with the daily hustle and bustle to appreciate the subtle and not so subtle influences in their lives and the patterns that they have formed. As such, they don’t see where they’re headed.

What I do is I connect the dots between their past and present to their likely future. Is it written in stone? Is what I see guaranteed to come to pass? Of course not. Like so many things in life, predictions are not always definite or cast in iron. And any psychic who tells you otherwise is pulling your leg.

Predictions bring what’s going on beneath the surface in one’s life up to the top and to the light. The information moves from the subconscious to the conscious. What we weren’t aware of becomes something upon which we can exert our free will. After all, we as human beings have the ability to influence and control our lives by using our thoughts, reasoning, logic, emotions and choices through our free will.

We should never let what comes through in a psychic reading upset us or cause us to lose sleep. Psychic readings should be about empowering us and enlightening us as to what is coming up should we carry on as we are. Armed with the insights of a genuine psychic, we can then take steps to ensure that what is foreseen does or does not come to pass.

In Thomas’s situation, he’s now working harder than ever at building a social life in Atlanta and at seeing his relationship with Suzanna for what it’s been and where it’s likely to go in the future. He now sees his reading as something much more akin to a wake-up call to bring about the future that he desires.
