Does a parallel universe hold the key to your life?
Here's our topic — let's discuss in Psychic Chat!
These days we seem to be locked in the jaws of a vicious and unrelenting recession. The Middle East remains a powder keg ready to blow at any second. And who of us doesn’t think of swine flu when someone sneezes in public?
When I consider each of these different scenarios, I regularly wonder just how much our expectations play in creating them and then maintaining them. We’ve all heard of the concept of self-fulfilling prophecies – a prediction is made and then things turn out just as predicted but in a way that seems to be down to our own involvement.
No doubt we’ve all heard a lot about the law of attraction, be it from the Teachings of Abraham or from the DVD The Secret. Moreover, the premise that we create our own reality has been at the core of the holistic health and self-empowerment movements. But does the way we think and feel about our world change it? Are we really that powerful? Could the answer be found in an alternate universe?
Quantum physics may hold the key. I find this stuff fascinating as the discoveries offered by it really upset the traditional scientific apple cart. The sacred laws of physics aren’t so universal after all, it would seem. Things that are very, very small seem to operate in a way that flies in the face of how we understand the every day world to operate.
A very interesting case in point involves how the consciousness of the observer affects and even determines how tiny particles of energy behave. Scientists have even stopped referring to the “actual presence” of these particles instead they describe how they might behave and what their characteristics might be. It seems that when it comes to the particles that form the building blocks of universe things aren’t so hard and fast.
In fact, scientists are now theorising that the universe, our world and even our bodies exist within this concept of “potential”. Put another way, each of us is swimming in a sea of possibilities. And doesn’t that sound like another way of saying “alternate realities” or “parallel universes”? Well, before you tune out and dismiss this as something out of Star Trek or the ramblings of a madman, read on.
In 1957 Princeton University physicist Hugh Everett put forth a theory that at any moment in time, there exists a distinct and separate universe to accommodate every possible situation, happening and outcome. This sounds like New Age fantasy and yet it’s a model of reality that explains the mysteries of the quantum particles and, perhaps most interestingly, has not been dismissed by the scientific community.
So, let’s just consider this theory in a bit more detail. What Everett, with his so-called “Many-Worlds” Interpretation, suggested was that every possible permutation of us and our lives is very real and taking place right now. Every wish, dream, fantasy and yes, nightmare is playing out this very second in another alternate reality or parallel universe.
According to Everett, each universe is for the most part unaware of the other universes. However, proponents of the many-worlds model speculate that communication with alternate universes can happen. When we dream, some believe, we relax our minds to a point that our consciousness can visit these alternate universes.
Have you ever had a dream that seemed so real that it leaves you quite shaken in the morning? You feel better at the knowledge that it was just a dream. But perhaps there’s more to it. Just maybe during the night you crossed over into another world where what happened in your dream was very real – as real as you are right here, right now.
Other followers of this theory believe that it holds other explanations. Take, for example, someone who is terminally ill and according to all medical evidence is definitely going to die. But then, miraculously they are suddenly and inexplicably healed. No traces of the illness remain in the person’s body.
In such a case, it’s as if the illness never existed. Now some are hypothesising that it never did. Perhaps, they speculate, such mysterious healings are the result of someone shifting an aspect of themselves, their health in this instance, from a universe in which they were fit and healthy into the one in which they were ill.
So, is this how it is? Are there an infinite number of parallel universes out there? In one, we’re rich? In one, we’re poor? In another, we’re male? And in yet another, we’re female? (Naturally, I couldn’t begin to list all the permutations, but you get the picture.) Well, I have to say that I don’t know for certain. But what I can say is that it’s a model that somehow sits well with me. In other words, it feels right.
More than that, I have found that I am able to work with this concept of alternate realities or parallel universes. Since I was a child, I used to play a game called “what if”. The rules were simple. I would just ask myself what would it be like if this or that were true. I would daydream about what if I were a movie star, an Olympic athlete or pop idol – hey, I was a kid. Perhaps what I perceived in my game wasn’t just imagination. Perhaps I was tapping into another dimension. Perhaps.
But now as a psychic, I use a very similar technique in my readings. I shift my consciousness and allow myself to travel to the specific parallel universe that holds the answer that I need. It’s a technique that proved itself invaluable when I was out in the business world. It’s a technique that I used to find my idyllic and magical farm in northern Spain. And it’s a technique that has earned me some pretty impressive testimonials from my clients.
Whether I’m doing a classic Email Reading or a comprehensive Medical Intuitive Reading or mentoring during an Intuitive Coaching Session, one way of looking at what I do is that I’m allowing myself to travel to just the right parallel universe or alternate reality that holds the answers that my clients seek or the guidance that they need.
Do you have to understand parallel universes or even believe in them for a reading with me? Absolutely not. Again, I’m not sure myself that this is really how reality works. But for lack of a better theory, this one sounds good to me. And it gives me an explanation of how my readings work. Of course, my clients don’t care about how I do my readings so long as they get what they consider to be valuable insights.
How was the last psychic reading you had? If you’ve never had a psychic reading with me, check out the range of readings I offer. Then, read through the comments and feedback from those I’ve read for. Perhaps a reading with me is just what you’ve been missing. Perhaps the answer lies in a parallel universe!
Please join me in my Psychic Chat forums and let’s get the discussion flowing. Tell me whether you believe in alternate realities and parallel universes.
And finally this week over at IntuitiveBridges, I consider a common complaint from clients - they cannot meditate. Do you mediate easily? Or do you find it a challenge? I offer some tips. You need to read my article here!
As always, feel free to contact me with any comments, suggestions or feedback on PsychicBridges.
Thanks again for all your support and until next time,
Kindest regards,
