Treat your psychic reading like
any other commercial transaction!
Here's our topic — let's discuss in Psychic Chat!
Last night in Europe we changed our clocks waving good-bye to daylight saving time for another year. You could think that the only thing that changes is that for one night we gain an extra hour. But from the way I see it we potentially gain a lot more.
As many of you know, I have a farm in rural northern Spain. And increasingly over the past few weeks it’s been dark in the morning – and it’s been getting darker. It was as if the day was later and later in starting. When there’s darkness outside, it’s hard not only to get out of bed for many of us. But it’s also hard to glean nature’s clues as to what the day holds in store.
Alas, this morning dawn could be seen peaking over the horizon when the clock struck half seven. The shadows began to retreat and light returned to reveal what we couldn’t seen just moments earlier.
There’s something about our desire for the light that appeals to our most ancient or even primitive needs. There’s something in our soul that prefers light to darkness. But this preference doesn’t just apply to physical light. We crave symbolic light or information as well.
Just as I prefer to have daylight as early as possible, I have a similar passion for information as soon as it’s available. We don’t like living in the dark whether it’s down to a power outage or to someone withholding information from us.
On many occasions readers have written me about experiences you have had with other psychics out there. Some of the stories are heartbreaking while others are infuriating. It’s sad but true that in this profession there are far too many fakes and downright con artists. I’ve written in the past about steps that you can take to protect yourself from the fraudsters. If you are considering a psychic reading with anyone, including me, you owe it to yourself to read this article.
It’s my opinion that a psychic reading should be treated like any other commercial transaction. You should know what you’re getting and you should know how much it costs. Just because the insights come from the psychic’s sixth sense doesn’t mean that you should forget about your own common sense.
Frequently people ask me which reading they should get. My advice depends on what format of reading they want – whether written in the form of an email or in the form of a telephone call.
If it’s an email reading, then I encourage them to have a look at the range of readings I have tailored for the most common questions clients have, such as a Relationship Reading or a Career Reading.
I also suggest that they read the testimonials other clients have given me as well as my articles and my background. With this, they should have a “feeling” about whether I’m the right psychic for them.
During any given year, I will go get a reading for myself. The advice that I have outlined above is how I decide to whom I’ll turn. Now, I would like to share with you an experience I had not so long ago when I contacted psychic about whom I had heard through grapevine.
I had a look at this particular psychic’s website. (And in case you’re wondering, no, I’m not going to name and shame – it’s not nice nor is it productive.) The first alarm bell sounded when I noticed something that is a pet peeve of mine – there were no prices listed. The second alarm rang when I discovered that I would have to telephone (not email ) him to discuss getting a reading. But hey, I thought to myself why not as I’m a strong and commercial savvy kind of person.
Well, dear readers, you would not believe the sales pitch I got. This psychic shouldn’t be giving readings but rather teaching second-hand car salesman around the world. To say it was the hard sell is the understatement of the year. However, there was still no mention of how much this reading was going to cost me.
Only after my persistent questioning did I get the answer and let’s just say that it was nearly a grand for an hour. But of course, he could also “sense” that I needed his “get in-touch with the psychic inside” course as well. That alone was nearly four grand. Had I signed up, which I most certainly did not, it would have cost me upwards of $5,000!
Is this man a fraud? No, I don’t think he is. Is he a con artist? Again, I don’t feel that he is. Is he worth all that he charges? Well, he seems to think so. Personally, I disagree. Dear readers, please, please do not assume that if you pay exorbitant prices that you will get incredible enlightenment. That correlation that states that you get what you pay for does not always hold true.
Whether I read for you or someone else does, make sure you know what you’re getting and how much it’s going to cost BEFORE you hand over you hard-earned cash. With each of my readings, I do my best to describe what I’m going to provide. And recently, you may have noticed that for my international clients I have started providing an approximate cost of each reading in US Dollars and in Euros, which is updated on a daily basis.
Starting today we find ourselves in the light of each day a little earlier. Starting today I hope that you will put yourself in the light when it comes to getting psychic readings. Ask yourself how was the last psychic reading you had. If you’re in the market for one, check out the range of readings I offer. Then, read through the comments and feedback from those I’ve read for, peruse my writings and check out my background. Perhaps I’m the psychic for you.
And finally this week over at IntuitiveBridges, I share a story about a restaurant in Spain that serves up "plates of calm". You can read my article here!
